The Showdown Tiebreaker Explained

If the game is tied at the end of the two-hour time limit, it goes to the Showdown Tiebreaker. Each hitter must score. Scoring = one point. Getting out = a Showdown Shutdown (zero points).

Rounds

  • Round 1: Pitcher + catcher + 1 fielder vs. 1 hitter
  • Round 2: Pitcher + catcher vs. 1 hitter
  • Round 3+: Pitcher + catcher + 1 fielder vs. 1 hitter, bases loaded — every run counts as a point

A home run over the outfield wall at any point is an instant walkoff win. If still tied after Round 3, play continues with bases loaded and one fielder until a winner is decided.
