In Banana Ball, walks don’t exist. If a pitcher throws ball four, it becomes a sprint:
- The batter takes off running immediately
- Every defensive player on the field must touch the ball before it is live — in any order, not required to go through the catcher or pitcher
- The batter can advance to as many bases as possible while fielders are exchanging the ball
This rule keeps pitchers competitive and the game moving at all times.
